In My Father's House

Luke 2:41-52 provides the only detailed account of Jesus as a child, revealing that while he grew up normally, he never sinned. At age twelve, Jesus stayed behind in the temple, teaching the religious leaders and declaring God as his Father - his first public claim to divinity. Despite this divine identity, Jesus returned home and perfectly obeyed his earthly parents. This passage shows us that Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and people. As believers, we should follow this example by growing in wisdom through Scripture and prayer, while also discipling others to understand their identity in Christ and their purpose to glorify God.
